Richmond facts and figures

Richmond has a population of over 190,000 residents and counting. It is currently the 4th largest city in BC, and is known as the “island city” due to the fact that it is made up of multiple islands located at the mouth of the Fraser River. It is home to the Vancouver International Airport, and the Olympic Ice Skating Oval.  One of the most popular attractions in Richmond is the Steveston Historic Fishing Village, one of the original settlements on the island.
